Oh you haven’t heard? Anastasia Beverly Hills released its much anticipated follow up Palette to the Modern Renaissance, called Subculture.
Well, to say the reviews have been bad is putting it lightly, people are saying the palette is out right defective? So what do I think? I just don’t agree.
My thoughts are, this is not a beginners palette or for people who like to put on makeup quickly heavy handed people.
Why? Because there is a lot of fall out and the shadows are pressed very lightly. What does this mean? You could basically make a huge mess if you don’t use them properly. However, if you use them as I do, you will love them!
With a light hand and dabbing lightly into the pan (not swirling), you get highly pigmented very blendable shadows that are gorgeous.
The mattes are the stand outs, and also the shades with the most fall out. The shimmers need to be built up and do not have as much fall out.
I played with this pallet for sometime and I actually really love it. I will say I would not recommend it for a beginner as mentioned before.
